So I live in this bubble of queer geeks. It's kind of awesome, we share links and articles and things, if in a very haphazard manner. We have the kind of discussions that change the way I think all the time.
In academia, there's not a huge amount of feminism or queer politics readily available, so it seems like a good idea to share - not just with people who are writing papers about something related, but with anyone who want to engage, to airs some views or test an argument, to share anything that needs sharing.
